In the year of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp and the end of the Holocaust, the theme of Nazi Germany’s concentration camps, genesis and existence of the system becomes particularly relevant. The article considers the prerequisites for the formation of the system of Nazi concentration camps, the development of this system and its main features.
